I met Emma and Terrence last thursday. We exchanged a few emails and calls the previous months but because they are based in London and me in Aix en Provence we weren’t able to see each other before their wedding day. The contact established during these early exchanges was reassuring on both sides .We were on the same wavelength about the story and it is with ease that we met a week ago.
I met up with the couple during its preparations in Fontblanche at the foot of the village of Gordes in the Luberon. They had rented for the occasion a beautiful Provencal farmhouse for them and their families. The couple, already married civilly in London a few months ago, decide to finalize their union in the heart of Provence. They had rented a beautiful Provencal farmhouse for them and their 14 guests to celebrate.
Two minibuses led the procession to Saignon where we climbed a rock overlooking the village to celebrate their union with a 360 ° panorama of the surrounding valleys. Two guitarists played Django Reinhardt songs which added a charming musical note to the 360 ° panorama of the surrounding valleys.
The ceremony over, we went to the Auberge du Presbytère in the center of the village to spend time relaxing on the terrace before heading to nearby Bonnieux at Bastide de Marie, where we made some photos of the couple.
